There’s a new firmware update coming this week May 26. This version (Version 1.2 – V10.2010.19-1) comes with a range of improvements and fixes.
Nokia N900 Firmware v1.2 highlights
- Emails improved with the ability to accept or decline an event invitation right there in inbox
- Facebook IM chat bundled in
- Video calling, allowing users face-to-face chatting anywhere
- Portrait browsing on the internet is a-go
- Ovi Maps updated with changes to the UI & improving the experience of finding the way around
- Improvements to the menu system UI with the first level now customisable

The web browsing portrait mode isn’t obvious – open browser – click options – settings and enable rotation. I downloaded the update and saw nothing changed much….
