Here is another Nokia N900 demo app we caught in MWC 2010. It has a sleek UI and smooth transitions. App felt responsive, and look and feel was great.

wait, what? did he say that the N900 UI was coded with Avkon? huh? am i missing something here, i didn’t think maemo had avkon framework…
Yeah, actually he says. But he also says this (something he is showing there) is old and uses Avkon controls, and says new versions will have native Qt UI. Doesn’t he?
He’s talking about current S60 phones, later he says about Qt availability in Symbian^3 and Qt UI starting in Symbian^4. That is not related with N900 itself (probably they started talking when he was showing a symbian phone).
These demos (weather and the shoppling list, called here as “grocery demo”) were written Qt. The code is available at http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-labs/mobile-demos . Packages are available in extras-devel, search for “qtmobiledemo” and you’ll find 4 demos there.
nice. we can get in on….
